Here are a list of local therapists/ shadow teachers who could be trained, experienced, or open-hearted to teach SN individuals.
Do note that NOT every professional works out well for every child. Sometimes it is really a matter of personality matching or bonding time. Do reach out to add to this database, if you get to know of any educators who are reaching out to help SN individuals. Thank you! |

Janell Lee
I am a paediatric physiotherapist with over 15 years of paediatric experience, having worked in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand with a diverse group of children in a variety of settings such as acute hospitals (neonatal ICU and special care nursery), schools, pre-schools, community settings and homes. I am NDT (neurodevelopmental treatment) trained and a certified infant massage instructor.
Some of the conditions that I treat for children from birth to 12 years old:
- early intervention follow-up for ex-preemies
- developmental disorders or delays
- neuromuscular conditions (eg: cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, brain injury, etc)
- congenital syndromes (eg: Down syndrome, or other rare diseases)
- children who are clumsy, or walk 'funny'
- orthopaedic conditions (eg: torticollis (wry neck), plagiocephaly (flat head), club-feet, Erb’s Palsy, scoliosis)
- post-botox injections or post surgical procedures (eg: SDR, SEMLS)
- chronic respiratory conditions (eg: asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia)
Besides teaching handling techniques and positioning to caregivers, I also recommend suitable adaptive equipment, mobility aids and orthotics and will teach clients how to use them.
if any parent feels that I can be of service, they can contact me on my cellphone: 81829732, or via my email: [email protected]
