SENSORY
PROCESSING
DISORDER
|
(Sensory Integration Difficulty) It is the process where the brain has difficulty managing the information that is received through the senses. Typical brains interpret and process these information in an organized manner. A person with SPD will find it difficult to organize them. A mix of over /under sensitivity to these senses thus creates various challenges in their daily lives and can impact learning. (Above a diagram to show how it can affect learning.) |
Start by learning more about how it works and the hidden challenges autistics faced.
An ad by UK's National Autistic Society in April for Autism Awareness Month, showing viewers what sensory sensitivity can feel like for an individual on the spectrum.
