RESOURCES FOR EARLY YEARS
The resources below are absolutely useful when it comes to teaching math with those with math difficulties. What I experience since my secondary dyscalculic child faces new learning needs, I had to change how the curriculum is being taught, and find ways in order to bridge the intense abstractness of it. As time passes, I realise that there are so much assumed knowledge that the real concepts are totally missing or delayed even though the topic is being taught. Certain formulas have partial explanation.
For eg. If you take a look at 2𝝅r. It was not truly explained what 'r' also means, that derives its formula. It was not shown that that radius is the arc length created from the angle in a circle, that corresponds and clearly shows concretely, why the formula is called 2𝝅r. And so I will try to place some of the important things that the curriculum had skipped. |
