It is not easy for families to be able to manage an eating outing or event. Sometimes the environment may affect the individual's tolerance for too much sensory information. Sometimes maybe its just not easy to handle stares from the public who may not understand things quickly or have patience for a difficult situation. But every family just wants to enjoy their meal with their loved ones. That's why, I hope more cafes and restaurants, open themselves up to be neurodiverse friendly, then our city will become more inclusive. I hope in time there will be an app, promoting inclusive cafes, promotions and support for the community. Let's dream and hope it comes true.
If you have a friend who is the owner of a chain of restaurants, or cafes, do try to encourage them to join this, and I can starting listing more locations for families to enjoy their meals at ease. Thank you for making this happen! |
